Outside the Lines: A Coloring Book Event with currently exhibiting artist David Brooks will take place Saturday, Oct. 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, 258 Main Street Ridgefield.
It’s an all-ages event and the cost is $10 for a family of four (free for members).
David Brooks and local student artists created an Aldrich coloring book that explores Brooks’s exhibition, Continuous Service Altered Daily, through original line drawings, activities, and games. Visitors are invited to join Brooks and his collaborators at an all-ages launch of the book and be among the first to get a copy of this unique and inspired exploration of the natural environment and its ecosystems. Children are invited to work with Aldrich teaching artist Alissa Siegal while adults learn first-hand from Brooks about his process, inspiration, and ideas as they tour the exhibition.
Registration is required. Two coloring books per family of four will be given out at the event.
David Brooks’s Coloring Book is supported by Danbury Audi. For more information and to register, visit aldrichart.org or call 203-438-4519.
